ABOUT

MISSION AND HISTORY

California, Texas and Florida have a total of 1.3 million children whose parents are incarcerated. As research by the Ann Casey has shown, Florida is the third largest prison system in the United States with 315,000 children whose parents are in the prison system , living in one parent households and living in poverty.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections and Prison Fellowship Ministries there are presently 1 million inmates in Florida. The Florida Department of Children and Families reports that their children are living in poverty in one parent households.

We have a great interest in  ALL youth and especially underprivileged and under-served youth of our community. Because of this fact we cater to children and youth who are at risk.  We have been working with youth and helping to provide Christmas gifts to these children for over 6 years now.  Our performing arts classes are for youth Pre-K to 12th grade.

Our Mission

To provide a positive, caring, supportive and stimulating atmosphere that help youth look beyond their current circumstances and instill self worth, leadership, individuality, creativity and social skills through music, dance and theater.   This includes music, dance, vocal training, learning to operate audio equipment, audio engineering and stage lights design.

Through our programs, these youth will experience a sense of balance, wholeness  and peace of mind, diverting them from being at risk of failure, and leading our youth to become thriving adults in the main stream of our society.

Our Goals

  • Provide stimulation and encouragement for growth and development.

  • Educated youth through hands on experience, by performing what they learn live on stage along with with written lessons on peer pressure, social skills, and common sense values that leads to happiness.

  • To divert early teen pregnancy, school drop out, drug and alcohol abuse, and engaging in crime by increasing the motivation to learn, improved schools grades and tolerance of others.

  • Improve the quality of life for youth in our community.
